Medical Case 17



A female patient 30 years old already diagnosed as SLE came presenting to the outpatient clinic for follow up, Her BP was 190/115 on 3 separate days. She was on corticosteroids for 3 years. The patient was admitted to the hospital and her BP was controlled & she was discharged from the hospital & advised follow up. Two years later during follow up in outpatient clinic she was discovered to be diabetic.

What is the cause of diabetes in this lady?
